So here we are, the first full week of March, and as usual we have a ton going on this week so let’s get right to it.
It is our pleasure to announce that Chef Point Café will be working in association with the Alzheimer’s Association to raise money for this worthwhile effort to end this horrible disease. We will be holding special events and donating proceeds in an attempt to raise awareness and help in the battle against this deadly and incurable disease. Our first fundraiser will be the Wine & Dine Event on March 27th.
Chef Franson, known near and far as “The Peoples’ Chef,” has cooked up quite a few taste treats for this week. Gaze at the following specials and try not to drool on your computer.
Duck Breast Appetizer: tossed in a sweet plum sauce and served over a bed of fresh spinach
Lamb Lollipop Appetizer: served over a bed of fresh spinach and topped with a delightful mint sauce.
Better Than Sex Fried Chicken: old-fashioned buttermilk marinated, tender crispy fried chicken, served with homemade mashed potatoes and country gravy.
Chicken Fried Steak: hand-battered Chicken Fried Steak served with homemade mashed potatoes, country gravy and fresh mixed veggies.
Chicken-N-Waffles: special hand-battered seasoned fried chicken on a homemade waffle topped with fresh berries and hot syrup.
Hawaiian Chicken or Salmon: topped with grilled pineapple and teriyaki sauce, served with coconut rice.
Fish Tacos: blackened Tilapia wrapped in a flour tortilla with cole slaw and Cajun mayo, served with a garden salad.
Grilled Meat Loaf: award winning meat loaf served with homemade mashed potatoes, brown gravy, and fresh mixed veggies.
Oxtail: marinated in our homemade spicy African red sauce slowly cooked to perfection and served with coconut rice and fresh mixed veggies.
Smoked Prime Rib: slow smoked prime rib served with mashed potatoes and fresh mixed veggies.
Long Beef Rib: served with French fries and cole slaw
Whole Red Snapper: pan fried and topped with Chef’s spicy red sauce and rice on the side.
Orange Roughy: served with a lemon butter caper sauce over angel hair pasta.
That should do it for this week. Don’t forget to change your clocks on the 11th as Daylight Savings Time begins. More daylight means warmer temperatures and Summer is coming soon!

That’s right, we celebrate Washington’s Day at Chef Point Café, and why not? With the delicious items on our menu every single day is a celebration. Try our Rib Eye Steak or one of our great pasta dishes and remember to sing “Hail To The Chief” when you walk into our family restaurant. We get a kick out of that.
