President’s Day Cheeseburgers

Have you tasted one of Chef Franson’s special, deluxe cheeseburgers lately?  Well we are re-naming them for today only and calling them the Presidential Cheeseburger, a cheeseburger fit for the President and Leader of the Free World.  Come on in and try one out!

Washington’s Birthday

That’s right, we celebrate Washington’s Day at Chef Point Café, and why not? With the delicious items on our menu every single day is a celebration.  Try our Rib Eye Steak or one of our great pasta dishes and remember to sing “Hail To The Chief” when you walk into our family restaurant.  We get a kick out of that.

Mardi Gras

Yes, we are in the middle of Mardi Gras celebrations so why not stop by our find dining Fort Worth restaurant and have a great meal.  What better way to top off a great week of fun and festivities?

Specials of the Week

We have quite a few items listed on our Special’s Board this week so here you go:

• Duck Breast Appetizer: tossed in a sweet plum sauce and served over a bed of fresh spinach
• Fried Green Tomatoes: served with fresh sliced mozzarella, pesto, roasted peppers, micro greens and drizzled with Texas Honey
• Better Than Sex Fried Chicken: old-fashioned buttermilk marinated, tender crispy fried chicken, served with homemade mashed potatoes and country gravy.
• Chicken Fried Steak: hand-battered chicken fried steak served with homemade mashed potatoes, country gravy and fresh mixed veggies.
• Chicken-N-Waffles: special hand-battered seasoned fried chicken on a homemade waffle topped with fresh berries and hot syrup
• Hawaiian Chicken or Salmon: topped with grilled pineapple and teriyaki sauce, served with coconut rice
• Fish Tacos: blackened Tilapia wrapped in a flour tortilla with cole slaw and Cajun mayo, served with a garden salad.
• Grilled Meatloaf: award winning meat loaf served with homemade mashed potatoes, brown gravy, and fresh mixed veggies.
• Oxtail: marinated in our homemade spicy African red sauce slowly cooked to perfection and served with coconut rice and fresh mixed veggies
• Smoked Prime Rib: slow smoked prime rib served with mashed potatoes and fresh mixed veggies
• Stuffed Shrimp: stuffed with crab meat served over fettuccini and asiago sauce
• Long Beef Rib: served with French fries and cole slaw.

Wine & Dine

A big night tonight at your favorite family restaurant.  From 6:30-8:30 we are holding our monthly event called Wine & Dine.  Tonight we are featuring a five-course meal, each course served with a separate wine from Lange Twins Winery in Lodi, California.  We will even have a representative from the winery here to discuss their delicious wines with you.  Call for reservations because with this menu available seating will be gobbled up quickly.

Valentine’s Day This Tuesday

The night that strikes fear in the hearts of all men is upon us; if you guys don’t want to be sleeping on the couch the rest of the week we strongly suggest that you take your loved one to our Fort Worth fine dining establishment for a meal she won’t soon forget.  Chef Franson is preparing some fabulous dishes for this special menu so we strongly suggest you stop by and rack up some brownie points with your loved one.

That’s right, it is time to celebrate Old Abe’s Birthday on February 12^th, and what better way to celebrate that old log-splitter than with a Presidential Bacon Cheeseburger and fries? If Abe were alive he would be here; yes, it is that good!

Super Bowl Sunday Is Coming

What are you doing for the Super Bowl?  Let’s face it, whether you like football or not the Super Bowl is an annual event that practically everyone participates in; it is just an American tradition.  May we toss some suggestions your way?  How about having a Super Bowl Party at your home?  We know, it takes a lot of work and who wants to do all that cooking on a day off?  Well never fear because The Peoples’ Chef is here!  We can deliver a great Super Bowl meal for your party, or you can pick it up at our area restaurant and dazzle your friends with the fine cuisine.  How about some What Nots to start off the party, or some Chicken Wings?  Later on after the appetizers have been devoured you can bring out the Beef Lasagna and act like you have slaved over the oven for hours.  We won’t tell, we promise!  Check out our catering menu at http://www.chefpointcafe.org/Restaurant/catering-menu.html and decide on your party meal but hurry up because the big day is rapidly approaching.

For The Rest Of You

Okay, we get it!  Some of you may not care about the Super Bowl.  You have been invited to the parties but declined and what you would like is a nice, family restaurant where you can enjoy some comfort food without having to bother about the game.  Well come on in this Sunday and find out what Comfort Food is all about.  Besides the regular comfort food entrees there are some Chef’s Favorites like Half Duck over Angel Hair Pasta or Crab Cake Pasta that are sure to win your hearts and satisfy that Sunday hunger.  We look forward to seeing you!

The first Wine & Dine Event is Tuesday, January 24^th, from 6:30-8:30 and you need to call ahead for reservations at 817-656-0080 because there is limited seating.

So what is this all about? It is about a four-course meal (think halibut if you want a hint) with a different sparkling wine for each course and the cost is only $50 per person.  To read more about the menu on the 24^th go to www.chefpointcafe.org.

Chef Point Café plus Comfort Food Equals a little slice of heaven in Fort Worth, Texas!

The key word being comfort, as in comfort food, as in Sunday comfort dishes, and nothing says comfort eating like Pot Roast and mashed potatoes, just like mom used to make.  Well, actually better, because Chef Franson seems to have stolen mom’s recipe and then made it so much better.  Come on down to Chef Point Café this Sunday and find out what comfort food is all about.

So here we are in January and the January special is…..Spiked Apple Cider!  What a great drink on a cold January night.  Apple cider by its very nature has a certain kick to it, so spike it and the kick is most noticeable and appreciated.
