Chef Point's Hot Couple Contest Winners Announced

They attended the same church and even sat in the same section for several years, but did not realize it until two weeks after they met.

Mark and Fiona Woelfie from Irving, TX are Chef Point’s “Hot Couple” contest winners.  They met in October 2007 through mutual friends.  They have now been married six months and are expecting a baby boy due July 7th.  Their Valentine’s Day prize package worth almost four hundred dollars includes a bottle of wine from Wine Styles in Watauga, a gift certificate worth $200 for a “Romance Retreat Couples Massage” from Alleia Spa of Ft. Worth, one night at Hampton Inn and dinner from Chef Point delivered to their hotel.

The owners,Chef Franson Nwaeze and wife/manager Paula are asking people to vote for who they consider the “Hottest Couple.”

They visited Chef Point Cafe for their first time on February 1st in celebration of Fiona’s mother’s birthday.  Her mother has met her girlfriends once a month at the restaurant for awhile now, after discovering it on the Food Network.

Fiona commented she loves the way Mark makes her laugh and the way he talks to her.  “I can tell him anything,” she said.

Mark said he loves the little things about Fiona, such as her smile and how she’ll put her hand on her face when she laughs. “There is nothing about her I don’t love,” he said.

Mark, Customer Service Representative and Fiona, Claims Assistant have worked for the past three months at the same company (Sedgwick) in Irving.  Fiona said since she takes online classes and has many project deadlines, it helps they can spend time together during lunch and breaks.

They have vacationed with each of their families at DisneyWorld and Branson, Missourri, skiied in New Mexico, and honeymooned in St. Thomas.  But, both agreed their favorite memory is actually planning their wedding.

When asked their advice for other couples, Fiona replied, “Don’t plan everything too carefully.  Spontaneity is always good.”  And Mark commented, “Always say you love them.  Communicate. Spend as much time as you can together.”

Every night as they read in bed and every morning when the alarm rings, they tell each other, “I love you.”
