He raced for industry heroes such as A.J . Foyt and Tony Stewart, and racked up five championships and thirty-four wins, in only six years.

At age 7, Wise began racing quarter midgets in his home state of California. Not long thereafter, he progressed up through the open‐ wheel ranks winning the Micro Midget title at age 14, the USAC ¾ Midget title at age 16.  He also won the USAC National Midget title, the USAC National Sprint title and rookie of the year honors in each of USAC’s premier divisions before embarking in the next phase of his professional racing career – stock cars.  joshwiseracing.
