Well, folks, a very special day is just around the corner and of course we are talking about Mother’s Day! Hopefully you have May 13th marked on your calendar because it simply would not do to forget this wonderful day when we thank your mothers (and wives, the mothers of our children) for being oh so special.
We can’t think of a better way to celebrate Mothers Day than to take that special woman down to Chef Point Café for our special Mothers Day dinner. We don’t want to spend this entire article listing everything that Chef Franson is preparing for this meal but allow us to give you a sampling that you might choose.
Start off with some Escargo, then follow that up with a nice, fresh Garden Salad. Your next course could be a delicious Lobster Bisque followed by a main course of Duck or Smoked Prime Rib. Finish off your meal with bread pudding or Chocolate Mousse and it all adds up to a memorable meal with your Mom.
Of course there are many other choices on the menu so rest assured that no matter what you choose it will be a meal Mom will remember for a very long time.
Another suggestion we have is to buy Mom some Chef Point Café gift cards so she can head on down to our Fort Worth restaurant and have a lunch with her girlfriends. The gift cards are available online or you can purchase them the next time you visit our family restaurant.
One final suggestion: how about buying Mom a ticket to the May Wine & Dine taking place May 22nd. This is a fabulous event which is held monthly and this year it will feature a four-course Chilean meal which includes four wines from Concha Y Toro Winery in Chile. These monthly Wine & Dine events have been heavily attended in the past few months so make sure you call in your reservation soon so Mom doesn’t miss out on it.
We sure hope to see you either on the 13th or the 22nd but whatever you do make sure you take time out to show that Mother of yours how special she really is. We are talking about a woman who unselfishly bathed you, fed you and cleaned up after you for many years. At least once a year we need to step up and say thank you in a very special way.
Another week at Chef Point Café is accompanied by some great menu specials and some upcoming events that are worth noting. Shall we begin?

Yes, another special occasion with our monthly Wine & Dine is happening April 24th. Reservations are needed and the cost this month is $65 per person plus 20% gratuity and tax. This month will be a special Italian dinner with Italian wines featured. There is a special online reservation form you can use if you prefer that instead of a phone call. Hope to see all of you at this great event.
Otherwise known as “Secretaries Day,” this is your opportunity to take your assistants out for a special lunch or dinner as a way of saying thank you for the great job they do for you. Actually the special day is April 25th but the whole week of April 23-27 is designated so pick a day and make sure your secretaries/administrative assistants know how grateful you are.
We actually made this one up but what a great idea! How about we designate Saturday, April 21st, as “Love Your Family Day,” and what better way to show your love than taking them to your favorite Fort Worth family restaurant for a great steak dinner?
And that is it for this week! Come on in any old time and sample some of the great meals cooked up by The Peoples’ Chef, Chef Franson. We are always happy to see you and we promise you customer service and satisfaction that you won’t be able to find anywhere else.
